LENTEN SERIES: THE LAST DAYS OF JESUS
WEDNESDAYS
5 p.m. Dinner, 6 p.m. Program in the Parish Hall.
THURSDAYS
10 a.m. in the Gahan Conference Room.
As we prepare for Holy Week at CEC during this Lenten season we will take a walk with Jesus through his last week on Earth. Our study, led by the Revs. Scott Kitayama and Brien Koehler looks at the final days of Jesus that took place in Jerusalem. The Final Days of Jesus is taught on the five Wednesday evenings in Lent and again on Thursday mornings. A simple soup and sandwich supper is served on Wednesday evenings. THURSDAY, APRIL 10: Palm Cross Making
9 a.m. in the Capers Room. Please join us to fold palm crosses in preparation for Palm Sunday. Stay as long as you can. All supplies and training will be provided. Contact Karen or Julianne with any questions.

SUNDAY, APRIL 13: Easter Egg Donations Due
Please bring filled plastic Easter eggs so we can have a super successful Easter egg hunt. We are a quarter of the way to our goal. Pick up at your favorite store. Please no chocolate stuffed in eggs.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 16: Children's Choir Egg Decorating & Easter Craft Party
5 p.m. FMC 3rd floor. All children's choir members and parents are invited to come during our regular rehearsal time on Wednesday for a special Easter craft time. All supplies provided. Contact Jennifer Holloway at jenniferh@cecsa.org with questions.

THURSDAY, APRIL 17 Maundy Thursday Prayer Vigil
8 p.m. Thursday to 7 a.m. Friday in the Veterans Chapel. Immediately following the Maundy Thursday service there will be an overnight prayer vigil in the Veterans Chapel. Those willing to “watch with Jesus for one hour” may sign up for one of the available spots HERE. Security will be on the premises for your safety.

Church Office Holiday Hours
The church offices will close at noon on Friday, April 18 in observance of Good Friday. We will be closed on Easter Monday, April 21 and reopen on Tuesday, April 22 at 8:30 a.m.

SUNDAY, APRIL 20: Easter Sunday - Flowering the Cross and Easter Egg Hunt
8:45 & 10:45 a.m. Children will gather to flower the beautiful Easter cross in the church. Bring flowers from home. Children will meet in front of the red doors following the 9 a.m. service for a quick Easter egg hunt before the 11 a.m. service.

MONDAY, APRIL 21: College Care Package Deadline
It’s Finals Care Package time!! Christ Episcopal Church loves to support our students by sending them a care package to love and support them during the stressful final exam time. Please confirm your students address and the date that finals begin and send it to susanl@cecsa.org. The deadline is Monday April 21st.

SUNDAY, APRIL 27: What's After High School? - Young Adult Ministries
6:30 - 8 p.m. Chapel House at the Bishop Jones Center, 111 Torcido, 78209. Calling all high school juniors, seniors, and parents! Join the DWTX College and Young Adult Ministries Team for an evening of food and fellowship as we explore all the different ministries available to our students and young adults. Whether you are leaving home or staying, pursuing more schooling or entering the job market, it does not matter - there are ministries anyone can participate in and feel belonging to. THURSDAY, MAY 1: Jukebox - Kings of Motown Part 1 - Marvin Gaye
11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the Parish Hall. Come take a trip down memory lane as you view old movies, TV shows, sports events, and tap your feet to the music from the 50s and 60s. Contact Henry Franco (texastrojan73@gmail.com) with questions.

FRIDAY, MAY 2: Battle of Flowers
The church offices will be closed on Friday, May 2 for the Battle of Flowers Parade. The youth will be selling parking in our lots to fund their ministry. If you are going to the parade, consider parking at CEC and supporting our youth.

SUNDAY, MAY 18: Reception for the Deweys
Our new rector Joe Dewey will be preaching on Sunday, May 18. We will have a reception to welcome Joe, his wife Becca, and their children between the 9 & 11 a.m. services.

VBS 2025 Participant and Volunteer Registration is open now
Plan to join us for a fun-filled week of songs, sunshine, learning, friends, crafts, and God's love. Volunteers ages 12-years and older and participating children may sign up HERE.

Worship Services 
Services will be held at 7:30 a.m., 9 & 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. in the church. The 9 & 11 a.m. worship services will be streamed for our folks who plan to worship from home. You may access our live stream services either directly on this website on the Live Stream page or through Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/ChristChurchSATX.

Sunday School
10 a.m. Sunday School will be held in various locations throughout the campus for all ages. Learn about the Fall offerings for various age groups by following the links: Adults, College, Youth, and Children. There is something for everyone!

CEC Nursery
8:45 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. Our FMC Nurseries will open in the first floor of the FMC in rooms 104, 105, and 106. Nursery Director Lily Fenton and our trained sitters will be there to greet infants through younger 3-year-olds and their parents. All safety precautions will take place as according to Diocesan and Christ Church policies. Come see our new Toddler and Two’s Pre Atrium in nursery 104. It’s beautiful and an introduction to our Catechesis of the Good Shepherd formation for the older children.

Children's Chapel
9 & 11 a.m. in the FMC Children’s Chapel. For 3-year-olds through 5th graders will be led by Halleta and a parent helper. Children will start out in the church services with their parents, then follow the crucifer to chapel. Children will join their parents at the Peace. A Chapel Sign Up has been emailed to all parents of 3-year-olds through 5th grade. Parents are welcome to take their children directly to chapel before the service begins as well.

Adult Choir
6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Raise your voice in praise to God with our Adult Choir. If you are interested in singing in the choir contact Josh Benninger at joshb@cecsa.org.

Every Thursday:

Praying the Rosary
9 a.m. in the Veterans Chapel. Come pray the Anglican Rosary in our lovely garden each Thursday morning.

Every Friday:

Sort and Set up for Sidewalk Saturday
10 a.m. - 12 p.m. We need extra help to get ready for Saturday mornings. Doing some spring cleaning to get ready for summer? We need your clothes. We are in desperate need of men’s and women’s clothing. Bring to the church on Friday or Saturday mornings.

Every Saturday

HOLY EUCHARIST
8:30 a.m. Christ Church offers a Saturday service with communion on the lawn of the Outreach Pavilion.

SIDEWALK SATURDAY
8:30 - 10:30 a.m. Saturday mornings are the perfect time for families to come serve. All ages are welcome and there is plenty to do for everyone. We are here every Saturday from 8 to 10:30 a.m.
