Summer Sunday School
July 13 - August 17Praising, Thanking, Serving
A summer 6-week course taught by the parish clergy begins on Sunday. Titled "Praising, Thanking, Serving," the subject is a phrase by phrase look at the prayer known as "The General Thanksgiving" (Book of Common Prayer, pp 58 & 101). The goal is to show how this prayer contains all of the elements of the life of a Christian disciple: worship, adoration, repentance, praise, and service.
The study is led by the clergy of Christ Church.
Classes will be held in the Parish Hall from 10:10 a.m. until 10:50 a.m. Sundays from July 13 - August 17, and on Thursday mornings (beginning July 17) at 10:00 a.m. in the Gahan Conference Room.

CHILDREN’S NURSERY:
8:45 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. | Family Ministry Center (FMC)
Nursery Care is available each Sunday for infants through 3-year-olds
Infants - 12 months: Room 105
Toddlers and Twos: Room 106
Infants and toddlers through age three will learn familiar Bible stories in a safe, loving setting. Little ones have many opportunities to play, explore, and interact with their environment, each other, and our wonderful nursery staff. Please bring a diaper bag and labeled water bottle for your child. A Mother’s Room is available for nursing mothers and young infants. -
SUMMER CHILDREN’S CHAPEL:
9:00 & 11:00 a.m. | For the summer, chapel will change slightly to accommodate the changes that summer brings. Instead of bringing your child to the FMC chapel at 9 or 11 a.m., please keep them in the worship service until Father Joe invites the children forward in a short call & response. Catherinewill then lead the children out for a short and sweet summer Chapel. Children will return to the sanctuary for prayers and Communion with their families.
Each week we’ll read one of the same lessons in a more kid-friendly way, some weeks we’ll also have a story book that has a similar theme, then we’ll extend an “Invitation to Play” through sensory and imaginative play materials (not messy), and end with a quick cleanup and prayer.
Parents are asked to assist with this quick, fun summer chapel. It’ll be about 20 minutes (readings & sermon time) and that’s it. No other commitment or preparation. It begins this week, June 1 and will go through at least June, perhaps July, too.
